Your interest in Azure AI Engineer / Microsoft AI portfolio is logged.
This is a portfolio line, not a single exam — the cluster of Microsoft AI credentials that sit around the AI Engineer role. It overlaps the rank-21 entry deliberately, and exists to track the whole portfolio while Microsoft keeps reshuffling its AI exam map.
AI engineers and applied-ML developers working on the Microsoft stack: Azure OpenAI integration, AI Foundry agents, Fabric data-AI workloads. They're spread across the Microsoft enterprise base, which is vast.
The thesis is the same as the AI Engineer Associate: Azure is how AI reaches the enterprise. Treating it as a portfolio rather than one exam is a hedge against Microsoft's constant exam churn. Once AI-103 data matures, this line will probably fold into rank 21.
The risks are duplication and churn. Tracking a moving portfolio invites double-counting, and Microsoft revises its exams fast enough that any credential in this cluster can be renamed under holders' feet.
