Terraform is still the infrastructure-as-code standard, yet demand is turning sharply — postings down by roughly half over three years, the clearest erosion anywhere in this research. IBM's acquisition of HashiCorp and the OpenTofu fork only add to the uncertainty.

The rating is under active review. The skill is still close to mandatory, but the cert premium is compressing as Terraform fluency becomes something employers assume rather than ask you to certify. If postings drop sharply next quarter, this moves to DIVERSIFY.
