The default credential in enterprise architecture — a steady premium. TOGAF turns up on enterprise-architecture shortlists with almost metronomic regularity.
Enterprise and solution architects turning out target architectures, roadmaps and governance artefacts. They work in large enterprises, on government programs, and in the consultancies that serve both.
Demand for enterprise architecture is steady and skews senior, and the AI-era push to rationalise estates arguably adds to the architecture workload. There's no appreciation story here, but the premium is one of the most durable on the index — a core hold.
The risk is framework fatigue. TOGAF's document-heavy method attracts the same criticism SAFe does, and a generational shift toward lighter-touch architecture would eat into the cert's role as a gatekeeper.
