The exposed ones are in the middle. We researched all 100. Here’s what to add.

The $168,000 cert and the $84,000 cert are safe for the same reason

The CISSP is #23 on the CertBueno Top 100 at $168,060. The AVIXA CTS-D is #98 at $84,447. This week we finished our research into what AI does to the job behind every one of the 100 certifications on the index, and those two came out side by side.
One is security leadership, one is audiovisual design, and one pays double the other. Neither is paid for a task an agent can run.
If you hold the CISSP, you’re paid to be accountable. You sign the risk, you own the breach, you answer to the board. If you hold the CTS-D, you’re paid to be in the room. You design for the acoustics, you commission the system, you stand there until it works. Neither of those is a task, so neither is exposed, whatever the pay column says.
The exposure is in the middle of the pay table, where the week is configuration, tickets, ceremonies and status. Look at Scrum Master (#57, $125,111), CKA (#44, $147,466) and Azure Administrator Associate (#45, $148,849). All three out-earn the CTS-D. All three are more exposed, because that work is what the agents take first. The vendors know it. AWS renamed SysOps to CloudOps. Microsoft turned its AI Engineer exam into Apps and Agents Developer. UiPath turned RPA Developer into Agentic Automation. The new name tells you what job they think you will be doing.
Exposed is not the same as falling. CKA is still INVEST because AI workloads are landing on Kubernetes faster than the admin work is being automated. The CTS-D is DIVERSIFY because AV is converging with IT and the premium is moving to network and UC skills, not because an agent can design a room. The verdict is where the pay is going. Exposure is how much of the job an agent can do. Read the two together.
The same split runs through all 100. The part of the job where you decide, sign, design or own is where the pay is going. The part where you configure, triage, report or build to spec is where the agents are going. Every cert on the index is some mix of the two.
So if you are in the middle, the question is which AI certification to add to the ones you already hold, and in what order, to move your week onto the right side of that split. That is what the bespoke AI Certification Stacking report answers. It starts from your benchmark, takes the certs you have, and tells you which AI certifications complement them, in what sequence, and what the index says each one adds. It is built from this research and the stacking data, not from a template.

THIS WEEK IN THE INDEX
The vendors keep rewriting the job
Nothing moved on pay this week. Three exam titles did, and one event.
Salesforce ran Dreamforce on September 15 to 17 around one idea, the agentic enterprise, and one platform, Agentforce 360. The launches were AIforce and Claudeforce. No credential changes by press time, but every Salesforce cert on the index sits downstream of that stage, from Technical Architect (#12, STABLE, $182,000 top of band) down to Platform Developer II (#48, DIVERSIFY). When a platform tells its developers the future is configuration plus agents, the architect gets safer and the developer gets exposed. More next week.
UiPath’s RPA Associate and Advanced RPA Developer credentials expire October 15. That’s the RPA Developer line (#78, DIVERSIFY, $97,631 top of band). The replacement is called Agentic Automation Associate. The new name is the vendor’s forecast: bots that do what they’re told are out, agents that decide with a human checking are in. Four weeks left.
Nine days left on the AWS Machine Learning Engineer – Associate (#47, INVEST, $148,000 top of band). MLA-C01 closes to English sittings September 28. MLA-C02 opens in beta the next day with generative and agentic AI added. Same call as last week: weeks from ready, sit C01; starting fresh, wait for C02.
Microsoft retired PL-200 on August 31. The Power Platform Functional Consultant line (#30, INVEST, $161,087 top of band) now runs through AB-410, Intelligent Applications Builder. Functional consultant became agent builder.

One thing to do
If your certs sit in the exposed middle, get the stacking report: which AI certification to add to the ones you hold, in what order, built from your benchmark.
See you next Saturday.
